RSBN Receives 7-Day YouTube Ban For Airing Election Misinformation

Date:

Conservative streaming platform Right Side Broadcasting Network (RSBN) has been handed a 7-day YouTube ban after it aired “election misinformation”.

In a statement posted to the network’s Twitter account, it claims YouTube removed videos that claimed both the 2020 U.S. and 2022 Brazil presidential elections were “stolen”. YouTube charged RSBN with being guilty of offering “content that advances false claims that widespread fraud, errors, or glitches occurred in the 2020 U.S. presidential election or the 2022 Brazilian presidential election.”

In response, the company has removed several other videos, including former President Donald Trump’s recent campaign event in Waco, Texas, remarks he made at CPAC, and his interview with the network at his Mar-a-Lago residence.

RSBN claimed YouTube’s week-long ban coincides with Trump’s arraignment in New York, calling the ban “convenient” and “Orwellian censorship practices”.

“Rather than allowing RSBN to show a countervailing view to the mainstream media’s version of the arraignment, they are simply shutting down our efforts. Again, they are leaving millions of Americans voiceless in the face of tyranny,” the RSBN statement read.

YouTube’s policies against misinformation including an increasing length of bans, with a permanent ban possible if an account receives a third “strike” in a 90-day period.

In response, RSBN says it is “fully prepared to move full steam ahead” with coverage of “pro-Trump protests” at the former President’s arraignment.

The RSBN channel features more than 1.5 million subscribers. It’s programming includes shows hosted by Michael Savage, Lara Trump, and was the home of Diamond & Silk before Diamond’s January death. Her sister — Silk — continues to host a show on the outlet.
