WTAM Program Director Ray Davis has exited the Cleveland news/talk station after 25 years in the role.

Davis spent a total of 36 years at the station and it’s predecessor WWWE.

His departure is linked to several cuts iHeartMedia has made in recent days. The company says it plans “to do everything we can to get through this difficult economic time while protecting our employee base as much as possible.”

Davis becomes the second news/talk casualty in the layoffs. WFLA morning host Jack Harris saw his position eliminated last week after 29 years with the Tampa station.

Other reductions took place at the company’s clusters in Chicago, Cincinnati, Dallas, Detroit, Oklahoma City, Raleigh, Rochester, and Tampa. Programming, sales, and promotions departments in those cities were all affected by the cuts.
