Eric Bolling Mocks Rachel Maddow After MSNBC’s Decision to Not Air Trump Speech

Date:

After his first court appearance following being indicted on 34 felonies, former President Donald Trump aired his grievances with the process in a speech that was broadcast on several networks. MSNBC chose not to air the speech, and Newsmax host Eric Bolling took issue with that decision.

Bolling aired a clip of MSNBC host Rachel Maddow discussing why the network wouldn’t air the speech, in which she said “We don’t consider that necessarily newsworthy, and there’s a cost to us — as a news organization — of knowingly broadcasting untrue things.

“For now, just know that it’s happening, and we’re not taking it,” Maddow said as the clip concluded.

“Wow. So brave, Rachel. You really showed Trump there,” Bolling said. “That’s MSNBC in a nutshell. If you picked at random a left-wing protestor and put them — gender-neutral them — on a set, you’d get exactly what you heard on MSNBC.”

The Eric Bolling The Balance host then claimed that Newsmax aired “untrue things” in its own right earlier that same day.

“Rachel Maddow said they didn’t broadcast Trump’s speech because that would be knowingly broadcasting untruths. But we, Newsmax, broadcasted (Manhattan District Attorney) Alvin Bragg and a bunch of untruths on our air yesterday in full.”
