MLB Network Turning Aaron Judge vs Shohei Ohtani into Event Programming

Three of the last four American League MVP award winners are set to meet on the diamond in a three-game series, and MLB Network is going to be on top of all the action.

The L.A. Angels are continuing their East Coast road trip and kick off a three-game tilt against the New York Yankees on Tuesday. At some point in the series, fans will be treated to a Shohei Ohtani vs. Aaron Judge matchup.

Judge was the 2022 AL MVP while Ohtani won the award in 2021. Angels superstar outfielder Mike Trout was the league MVP in 2019.

MLB Network’s alternate broadcast MLB Tonight: Clubhouse Edition will carry the night on Tuesday. Siera Santos hosts, with CC Sabathia and Chris Young on the call. Justin Upton and Torii Hunter are also anticipated to contribute. Viewers tuning in will get organic analysis, reaction and storytelling from the former players as they watch the game together.

Matt Vasgersian, Tom Verducci and Jon Morosi will call Wednesday’s game. MLB Tonight will be live at 6 p.m. with Adnan Virk and Jake Peavy leading studio coverage. Harold Reynolds will be at Yankee Stadium interviewing players ahead of the game.

MLB Network will have a doubleheader on Thursday, joining the finale of the Yankees/Angels series in New York at the conclusion of Twins/Red Sox at 1:35.
