WFAN formally announced its revamped show lineup on Tuesday, as Craig Carton prepares to make his exit at the end of the month. Joining host Brandon Tierney for middays will be Sal Licata. Licata and Tiki Barber, who will replace Carton opposite Evan Roberts, will debut in their new roles on July 24.
Licata has been at WFAN since 2003 when he started as an intern. Most recently Sal had been hosting overnight in addition to his regular appearances on television on SNY and his work with Jimmy Traina on the SI Media Podcast.
Tierney tweeted his excitement about working with Licata not long after WFAN made the news of the new lineup official. He added that the promotion in timeslot is something Sal has worked hard to achieve.
With Sal moving into middays, the station has also named a new overnight host in Chris McMonigle.
