Game 1 of the ALCS between the Houston Astros and Texas Rangers on FOX Sunday night delivered Texas-sized ratings. It was the best viewership number for FOX in 13 years.
Despite going head-to-head with Sunday Night Football on NBC, Game 1 of the series averaged 7.024 million viewers on FOX. It was the best ALCS Game 1 for the network since the Rangers faced the Yankees for the league title in 2010.
The broadcast also became the most-watched LCS Game 1 on any network since 2015.

Compared to Game 1 of last year’s ALCS on TBS between the Astros and Yankees, viewership was up 28%.
For the Spanish-language telecast on FOX Deportes, viewership was the highest on record at 242,000 viewers.
