Despite stepping away from WBT, John Hancock is still hosting his annual Bikes for Kids drive with the Charlotte news/talk station.
On Friday, December 9th, WBT will host the 30th annual event from its Charlotte studios from 5-9 PM. The entire event will be broadcast live on the station. Additionally, the company has partnered with Woody’s Auto Service locations in the area to serve as drop-off locations as a more convenient option for the community.
“We are hoping that everyone who has helped us through the years will help us again, and we are excited to continue this great tradition for its 30th year,” Hancock said. “As you’re planning your holiday celebrations, please consider donating a new bike so a deserving kid will have something to celebrate, too.”
Throughout its history, the Hancock’s Bikes for Kids drive has distributed more than 20,000 bicycles to Charlotte-area children.
