Howard Eskin: I’m Not Making Any Hints About Anonymous Eagle Naysayer

Date:

A report from JAKIB Media’s Derek Gunn claimed he was being told by an anonymous Philadelphia Eagles player that the team’s offense was basic compared to that of the Dallas Cowboys. 94WIP’s Howard Eskin believes he knows who the player is, but won’t be discussing it any longer.

While appearing with the station’s midday duo Joe Giglio and Hugh Douglas, Eskin hinted that he knew the identity of the anonymous player, but wouldn’t share details beyond that.

“I can’t say. I really don’t want to say,” Eskin said when pressed by Douglas. “I have an idea, but I don’t wanna say.”

He continued by noting that in a similar incident, he shared a player’s identity because he was certain who it was.

“You know? I did last time, because it was Alshon Jeffrey. And everybody in the building knew it. And I got — you have no idea,” he said, alluding to the blowback he received from the team for revealing Jeffrey had criticized the team anonymously. “I’m not giving any hint. It’s somewhere within the team and in that locker room.”

As Douglas and Giglio continued to press for answers, Howard Eskin put a stop to the discussion.

“Eventually, it’s gotta stop. That has to stop. I don’t know if the player thought that would be put out there.”
