Michael Smerconish: ‘Disgrace’ Americans Can’t Watch Donald Trump Court Appearances

Date:

Former President Donald Trump appeared in front of a panel of judges from the Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit Tuesday morning, and SiriusXM and CNN host Michael Smerconish lamented not having the ability actually to watch what happens.

In a post to X, Smerconish argued that the proceedings should be able to be viewed, not simply heard, and argued that the future of the country is at stake.

“As I have said many times before in different circumstances, it’s a disgrace we cannot WATCH this morning’s argument in the Court of Appeals for DC Circuit,” Smerconish argued. “Fate of nation hangs in balance and all we can do is listen, not see. Not right. And same for SCOTUS on February 8.”

Some reports claimed that the court’s website was either down or operating very slowly as Trump entered the courtroom. The former President is attempting to argue that he is immune from prosecution for his role in the January 6th Insurrection due to Presidential Immunity.
