It is now official; Jim Rome and The Jim Rome Show are in the live streaming business. Earlier today Rome did his first show in his new partnership with X or as he refers to it “the X platform.”
“An enormous day in The Jungle as for the first time in show history, we are streaming the radio program live and we are doing it on the X platform,” Rome said to kick off the show. “Despite being in this business since the late 80’s when I got my first radio gig and despite working a decade or more each at ESPN and CBS and FOX, I have never ever streamed live programming before this very moment.”
Rome announced back in February he was ending his simulcast with CBS Sports Network and that his show would go dark on video “for a short period of time.” That short period turned out to be just over three months.
“Unbelievable experience streaming live here on X for the very first time today,” Rome posted after his show ended. “Let’s do it again, every single weekday going forward. Noon ET/9am PT.”
The video of the first live show has over 563,000 views as of 5 p.m. ET.
Jim Rome schtick and his over weight callers same old sctick should be put out to pasture.
