Radio host Charlamagne tha God made an appearance on FOX & Friends that angered many, including 77 WABC host Sid Rosenberg. He shared his displeasure with Brian Kilmeade, who defended himself from the criticism.
“I saw you on TV a bit yesterday and that’s what I’m going to start this conversation by yelling at you, and don’t get upset,” Rosenberg told Kilmeade. “But I’m here to tell you that me, and a lot of your viewers — who texted me 1,000 times yesterday morning — don’t understand this crazy obsession with Charlemagne tha God … He doesn’t even like Trump. 99% of your viewers love Donald Trump. Sid Rosenberg loves Donald Trump. Who gives a rat’s ass what Charlamagne tha God thinks?”
“Yeah, that is where we differ. I don’t need people to agree with me to come on. And I like it,” Kilmeade responded. “And the thing is, too, I want to introduce him to the audience. I want all sides. If you read his book and you see his story, nobody gave that guy a break … I love his biography. I don’t agree with everything, but I think — on the issues — we’re probably on the same wavelength.
“He said ‘I got Trump derangement syndrome.’ But he’s an impact player. I want all sides, man. I don’t need people agreeing with me. I’m not here to get Donald Trump elected,” Kilmeade concluded.
Brian Kilmeade added that while he appreciates the political rise of Donald Trump and likes him as a person, it isn’t his duty to help him return to the White House.
