Juan Velasco, afternoon host at Cumulus Country KRST/Albuquerque has passed away at the age of 60.
Velasco had been with the station for 30 years in middays and afternoons.

Former colleague Kris Abrams said on his Facebook Page, “People you love can be here one moment and gone the next. Juan Velasco passed away today. I can honestly say he was one of the most genuine, caring people if have ever known. He will be missed by many. Rest in peace, Juan”.
Aside from his on-air work, Velasco was known for event DJ and emcee work across the state.
He is survived by his two sons.
