Chris Long Partners with BetMGM for ‘Green Light’ Podcast in Multiyear Deal

Chris Long and his Green Light podcast are partnering with BetMGM in a multiyear deal that will render the platform as the presenting sponsor and exclusive sports betting partner of the show. Long and friends host the show, and it ranks among the most popular sports series in the marketplace with over 100 million monthly views across digital and social media platforms. The deal includes BetMGM-branded segments within the podcast, along with custom social media content and on-site activations during seminal moments on the sports calendar. Yote House Media, the media and production company founded by Long last year, houses the podcast and additional content.

The deal also results in Long being named the newest ambassador for BetMGM, taking on a role that also includes Kevin Garnett, Wayne Gretzky and Barry Sanders. The collaboration will include several fan and consumer engagement opportunities, leveraging the strengths of both Green Light and BetMGM. Over the years, the Green Light podcast has included in-depth interviews with key sports figures such as Jason Kelce, Shaquille O’Neal and Aaron Donald among others.

Long is a former NFL player who took the field for 11 seasons and attained two Super Bowl championships with the New England Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles. For his charity endeavors and social justice work, he was honored as the recipient of the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award in 2018. In addition to his podcast and media company, he founded the Chris Long Foundation, a global nonprofit organization that aims to provide clean water and education to underserved communities both in the United States and abroad.

Earlier in the year, the Green Light podcast partnered with Toyota at Super Bowl LVIII to air programs from the Toyota Tacoma Content Studio during the week. As part of that deal, Toyota worked with the podcast to create a charity challenge prompting NFL personalities and players to score in a trivia game during the week. In working with BetMGM, which currently operates in 29 markets across North America with mobile and retail offerings, the show will continue to utilize activations, along with other branded elements and content.
