After 20 years working as a traffic reporter at 95.5 WSB, Doug Turnbull is stepping away to begin a new career with a marketing firm in the Atlanta area.
While noting that Friday was his final day with the Cox Media Group news/talk station. Turnbull told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that working at 95.5 WSB has been the only job he’s ever had after starting at the station three days after he graduated high school in 2004.
“WSB has given me so much. It changed my life. I’m absolutely honored to have worked with these people who take their jobs so seriously,” he told the newspaper. “They will always be family to me.”
In his new endeavor, he’ll work as a full-time podcast host for Impact Partnership, a marketing firm in Kennesaw, Georgia that offers “creative marketing services for financial advisors to help build their brand, generate leads, and manage their practice.”
In addition to his new role with Impact Partnership, he’ll continue to write a column for the Journal-Consitution, which he has been doing since 2017.
