Monumental Sports Network, the exclusive local media rights holder for the Washington Capitals, the Washington Wizards, the Washington Mystics of the WNBA, and G League’s Capital City Go-Go, announced the launch of an upgraded app called Monumental+.
“As we move into our second season operating as Monumental Sports Network, our team spent the summer tirelessly working to make our digital and linear experiences the very best in local media,” said Zach Leonsis, President of Media & New Enterprises at Monumental Sports & Entertainment in a release. “Monumental+ is a best-in-class digital experience across multiple devices that allows fans to stream live games on more devices and in more ways than ever before. We’re creating more original shows and exclusive digital content produced by our award-winning production team, and plan to unlock a wide variety of exclusive benefits and surprises for subscribers.”
Monumental+ is available to now. Users who had the previous Monumental Sports Network app downloaded on their digital devices will receive a new version of the app via a standard app update.
In addition to play-by-play, Monumental Sports Network airs shows such as The Sports Junkies and the Beltway Football Live postgame show for free moving forward, and fans can also stream several Capitals and Wizards preseason games for free on the app over the coming weeks.
