Newsmax has announced the addition of Marc Lotter to its Wake Up America show opposite established co-host Sharla McBride.
Lotter steps into the role vacated by Rob Finnerty’s move to primetime in the cable network’s lineup.
“It is an honor to be joining Sharla McBride and the team at Wake Up America,” said Marc Lotter. “I am extremely grateful to Chris Ruddy and the team for putting their faith in me. I am truly excited by this opportunity to inform our viewers and get them ready to take on the day.”
Marc Lotter joins Newsmax after previously serving as the Chief Communications Officer for the America First Policy Institute. He also served as the Director of Strategic Communications for Donald Trump’s 2020 presidential campaign. He was also a Special Assistant to the President and Press Secretary for Vice President Mike Pence during the 2016 presidential campaign and transition team.
“Marc has had a remarkable career in media and communications,” Newsmax CEO Chris Ruddy said. “Throughout this time, he has shown an ability to connect strongly with viewers and we’re glad to have him as part of our team. “
Lotter will begin his duties as the show’s co-host on Monday, December 16th.
