Date:

Wave Sports & Entertainment has announced that it will be launching a new weekly series featuring Los Angeles Sparks forward Cameron Brink and co-host Sydel Curry-Lee. The venture, which is titled Straight to Cam, will make its official premiere on Tuesday, Jan. 28 and release new episodes every Tuesday. Brink had an abbreviated rookie season in the WNBA after tearing her ACL and is in the midst of her recovery, but is widely regarded as one of the brightest stars in the game. Working alongside Curry, her godsister and the sibling of four-time NBA champion Stephen Curry, the duo will discuss topics pertaining to professional sports and entertainment.

The program will implement in-studio guests who have unscripted and candid conversations with no topics that are off limits. PrizePicks has signed on as a partner for the debut of the Wave program, which will look to illuminate the personalities of Brink and Curry. Consumers can find the podcast on major audio dissemination platforms, YouTube and other social media verticals.

“Wave’s reputation as a leader in athlete-driven storytelling makes them the perfect partner to share my journey and bring fans closer to my world on and off the court,” Brink said in a statement. “With ‘Straight to Cam,’ we’re not just talking about sports—we’re creating a space to celebrate the culture, community, and candid moments that make life in the W so unique. I can’t wait for everyone to come along for the ride.”

The program joins the Wave Sports & Entertainment portfolio that contains a variety of podcasts hosted by athletes and those connected to the sports media space. Travis and Jason Kelce host New Heights under the platform, while Kylie Kelce stars on the new program Not Gonna Lie. Philadelphia 76ers forward Paul George presents Podcast P, and former NBA All-Star Carmelo Anthony takes part in 7PM in Brooklyn. Wave has generated over 3.6 billion impressions over the last year amid its portfolio of original content.

“Cameron and Sydel have a unique ability to connect with people and let their authentic selves shine,” Mack Sovereign, chief content officer at Wave Sports & Entertainment, said in a statement. “Their chemistry and shared history will stand out in a crowded space, and we’re excited to add this dynamic duo to our growing slate of hit series.”
