FOX Sports Radio’s The Paulie and Tony Fusco Show was named the ‘Best Sports Comedy’ podcast for the second year in a row.
Distributed by iHeartPodcasts and FOX Sports Radio, The Paulie and Tony Fusco Show is a satire of sports talk radio and ‘hot take’ media personalities. It is written, produced and hosted by veteran sports talk producers Andrew Samson and Sharief Ali, who play two Philadelphia Eagles fans who claim to have the “smartest” sports takes, when in reality, their takes are terrible. They also welcome notable guests from across the sports world, only to abruptly kick them off the show.
“We told those fools that this show is NOT a comedy and yet they gave us this award again,” said Paulie and Tony Fusco in a joint statement. “But since we work in the podcast industry and have what some might call a ‘limited marketing budget,’ we will accept any form of free promotion.”
“Wait, these guys still have a show?” joked Scott Shapiro, FOX Sports Radio Senior Vice President of Sports Programming. “I told our engineers to turn off the feed months ago thinking no one would notice. Let’s just say this is the last time these clowns win an award.”
The show drops new episodes each Thursday wherever podcasts are available.
