After 38 years at Sunny 101.1 WNSN/South Bend and 50 years in the market, Jack Reichert is hanging up his headphones at the end of this week.
Reichert hosts the “Jack, Caleb & Traci” morning show, which includes partners Caleb James and Traci Cappelman.
WSBT-TV posted an interview with Reichert on YouTube, in which he indicated, “I don’t have anything else to say.”
Reichart has been on the air in South Bend for 50 years. He began his run in 1975 at WRBR/Mishawaka.
Reichert told WSBT, “First thing I’m gonna do is go visit friends that I haven’t seen in years. I’ve already contacted half of them. They said, ‘Let me know when you’re coming so I gotta warn my wife.”’
Reichert asked what he will miss most, saying, “It’s just the camaraderie I had with people by doing this, whatever this thing I did. I was hoping that it would sell, and it did, and I got lucky.”
