Radio is mourning the loss of West Coast radio veteran Alexa Smith, who passed away Monday from a rare lung disease called PVOD. She was 53.
Smith is known for her on-air work at Alice 97.3 KLLC San Francisco and, most recently, KLOVE and Air1 Network.

Smith’s radio stops included 99.7 Now San Francisco, PD/MD at Mega KAJM, Phoenix, APD at 04.7 The Wave, Los Angeles, 102.5 KSFM Sacramento, JAM’N 107.5, Portland, and PD/OM Q97.1 Fresno.
