Former MLB outfielder and three-time All-Star selection Curtis Granderson has signed a multiyear extension to continue his work as a baseball analyst for TNT Sports, the company announced this week. Granderson first joined the company on a full-time basis in the 2020 MLB postseason and will be working alongside Pedro Martínez, Jimmy Rollins and Lauren Shehadi on studio programming this season. The studio team will be anchoring the MLB Leadoff pregame show and remain in the studio to finish the night of programming with MLB Closer, both of which are 30-minute programs. Broadcasts for the year begin on Tuesday, April 1 when the defending American League champion New York Yankees host the Arizona Diamondbacks.
“Looking forward to the years ahead!,” Granderson wrote in a quoted post on X about his multiyear extension.
The TBS cable network, which was part of recent carriage agreements by Warner Bros. Discovery with Comcast Corporation and Charter Communications, will be airing 26 regular-season games on Tuesdays during the regular season. In addition, TBS will be the broadcast home of the NLDS and NLCS in the postseason as the company continues its media rights deal with the league reportedly worth $535 million per year. All regular season and playoff games that air on TNT Sports networks in addition to surrounding pregame and postgame coverage will be available to stream live on Max, through the TBS App and on the network website.
The network announced that Brian Anderson and Alex Faust will serve as play-by-play announcers for MLB Tuesday programming with game analysts Jeff Francoeur and Ron Darling. Coverage for the upcoming season will also include programming from B/R Walk-Off and Bleacher Report platforms, including On Base with Mookie Betts and Jon Heyman Weekly Insider.
