AC B105.7 Indianapolis Music Director/PM Driver Eric Allen is leaving his position.
Posting the news on Facebook, Allen wrote, “A new season approaches … Friday will be my last day at Eric Allen on B105.7. I’ll be embarking on a new radio adventure (more on that another time).”
“I’m grateful for the last 6+ years. Through a pandemic and ownership change, it was quite the ride! I got to play the music I grew up listening to, had the chance to see some great concerts, interview rock and roll hall of famers, and (mostly) did my show from a studio with the best view of the city.”
“I never publicly mentioned my ratings, but I’m proud that for the vast majority of my time there, I hosted the top afternoon show on the top station in Indy. That comes when you are surrounded by and led by talented people. Thank you to them!
“To the listeners – thank you! Radio is always about you! I’m grateful that you allowed me to be part of your life – I hope it made your afternoons a little better and brighter! And in a weird confluence of schedules and timing, my last show will be 8 hours (11a – 7p)?!!? You’ll be ready for a break from me by then!”
Allen is known for his years in Christian radio and 14 years with EMF.
