LaShayna ‘What Shayna Say’ Sawyers and Kim ‘Fly KP’ Price have been named Co-Program Directors of 107.9 The Beat in Lexington, KY.
RadioInsight first reported that the duo fills the spot vacated by PD and afternoon host Jay Alexander earlier this month to focus on a position outside of radio.
Sawyers was caught in Radio One layoffs last October from her midday host position at Hot 100.9 Indianapolis. This is her second tour with The Beat, which she originally joined in 2017. In addition to Co-PD duties, she will host afternoons.
Price joined 107.9 The Beat in 2013. In addition to his duties as the Music Director, she hosted weekends and was a producer for the cluster’s ESPN affiliate. He will take over middays.
The station’s weekday lineup includes The Steve Harvey Morning Show, Middays with Fly KP, afternoons with Shayna, and evenings with Young Si.
