Longtime New England Country personality and Country 97.5 WOKQ Portsmouth, NH Brand Manager Ginny Rogers Brophey will retire at the end of August.
Brophey is well known for her 23 years at 102.5 WKLB and WBCS Boston. In July, she will be inducted into the Country Radio Hall of Fame.
Brophey said, “I have loved my job every single day. Country radio, especially my teams, along with the artists, managers, labels, promoters, venues—and most importantly, the fans—have given me a lifetime of incredible memories. I’ve had an amazing run, and I’m so grateful to Townsquare for the support and trust to do what I love every day. This was 100% my decision, and it feels like the right time to pass the mic. My family is growing, and they need more of me. And with the incredible honor of being inducted into the Country Radio Hall of Fame on July 21st, the timing couldn’t be more meaningful.”
