Arrington Broadcasting LLC has announced the launch of FOX Sports 1270 AM in Palm Springs, Calif. broadcasting under the KFSQ call letters. The newest affiliate carrying the national radio lineup will broadcast the slate of live sports entertainment programs effective immediately.
Located in the Coachella Valley, the station is being operated by Arrington under a local marketing agreement and carrying the national FOX Sports Radio lineup, but its website is also teasing the addition of a local morning show in the 6 to 9 a.m. PST timeslot.
FOX Sports Radio is managed by Premiere Networks, a subsidiary of iHeartMedia, and broadcasts shows on more than 630 radio stations to over 11 million listeners.
The weekday programming schedule will feature programs such as Two Pros and a Cup of Joe, The Herd with Colin Cowherd and Covino & Rich among others. In addition, the station will broadcast FOX Sports Radio programming for the entire weekend. Arrington is now operating the station currently owned by KGAY PSP with chief executive officer Bradley Fuhr.

FOX Sports Radio has added various new affiliates over the last several years around the country, including 97.9 FM in Hartford, Conn., 970 AM in Pittsburgh, Pa., 1300 AM in New Haven Conn. and 106.3 FM in Sheridan, Wyo. last January. One month later, the national radio network added affiliates in Orlando and Jacksonville, Fla., which came after other new outlets in Edmonton, Alberta and Grand Rapids, Mich. introduced the programming to its lineups as well.
