Audacy is swapping frequencies on two of its Chattanooga stations on Friday. Rock 105 WRXR-FM will move to 103.7 FM and rebrand as Rock 103.7, while Kiss FM WKXJ-FM will shift to 105.5 FM, becoming 105.5 Kiss FM.
Nichole Hartman, Senior Vice President and Market Manager, Audacy Chattanooga, said of the move, “We always find ways to improve the listening experience for our consumers. Rock 105 has been a heritage brand to the community, and this new frequency will elevate its legacy to more fans beyond Chattanooga.”
Adding, “At the same time, broadcasting Kiss FM on 105.5 allows us to bring the best pop hits to the heart of the city and form a deeper connection with listeners in the Chattanooga metropolitan area.”
According to radio-locator, the 105.5 frequency has an ERP of 5300 watts at 348 feet, while 103.7 has an ERP of 25,000 watts at 262 feet.
The on-air lineup for both stations will remain the same after the switch.
