77 WABC, Red Apple Audio Networks Tab Lionel to Host The Other Side of Midnight

"This isn’t just radio, it’s home. It’s the gold standard, the birthplace of giants. And now, I’m back where I belong.”

Date:

After Frank Morano departed The Other Side of Midnight, 77 WABC didn’t have to look far for his replacement. Red Apple Audio Networks host Lionel will take over the spot.

Morano exited the show earlier this year as he ran for city council in Staten Island. Lional, meanwhile, joined Red Apple Audio Networks and 77 WABC in April as a weekend host, with his show airing on Saturdays from 2-6 AM.

Michael William Lebron — known professionally as Lionel — previously hosted a nationally syndicated show on Air America, replacing Sam Seder in the network’s lineup at the time.

More recently, he has worked as a legal and political analyst on Russian state-controlled television network RT, as well as a pundit for the Alex Jones-led InfoWars.

“Lionel brings intellectual depth and razor-sharp humor to every subject,” said Red Apple Media and 77 WABC President Chad Lopez. “Lionel’s already put his inimitable stamp on the show, and we’ve had a great response from listeners and affiliates.”

“I’m honored beyond words to be back at WABC—where it all began, my alma mater, the greatest talk radio station in the world,” Lionel said. “Legendary, historic, storied, unmatched in its legacy. This isn’t just radio, it’s home. It’s the gold standard, the birthplace of giants. And now, I’m back where I belong.”

The Other Side of Midnight airs from 1-5 AM ET. Currently, the program features more than 20 affiliates, including stations like WGN in Chicago and 830 WCCO in Minneapolis, among others.
