“We are excited to bring Rob’s enthusiasm and professionalism to our management team,” said 24/7 News Executive Vice President Chris Berry. “He will continue leading the team on the path blazed by Kathy Walker.”

Dawson originally joined the company in Denver in 2016 before relocating to New York City. After a stint working at Fox News Radio, he rejoined iHeartMedia and 24/7 News in 2022.

Other stops in his career include working at SiriusXM in Washington D.C., as well as at WNEW as an anchor and street reporter.

In his new role as News Director for the Rocky Mountain region, Rob Dawson will oversee the staff and editorial content for iHeartMedia stations in the nine-state region, as well as non-iHeart affiliates.
