Jenny Matthews and Mike “Jagger” Thomas will join forces to create “Jenny And Jagger In The Morning” at Audacy’s 106.5 The Wolf in Kansas City.
The duo replaces Codie Allen and Zeke Montana, who were let go last week. (BMM 8/14). Afternoon host Jeff “Shotgun” Jaxson exited at the same time.
Matthews, the former Country Q104 Kansas City morning co-host, announced the news on Facebook, writing, “Radio has changed so much over the years. There are more cuts than hires these days. So, I had no clue if I’d ever even get back on the air. I thought about a podcast. I thought about a lot of things! I had a lot of meetings and coffees. But radio is my passion. Big. Radio. Nerd.”
Thomas joins from Audacy’s sister Hot AC 99.7 The Point.
The new show is set to launch on September 9.
