YouTube is taking its fan-first approach to the next level, bringing the NFL to a global audience in an unprecedented way. On September 5, the platform will exclusively stream its first live NFL game for free as the reigning AFC champion Kansas City Chiefs face the Los Angeles Chargers at Corinthians Arena in São Paulo, Brazil.

The broadcast promises to blend traditional NFL commentary with the energy of online creators, creating a viewing experience unique to YouTube. Emmy-nominated host Rich Eisen will lead the coverage as play-by-play announcer, joined by Hall of Fame quarterback Kurt Warner as game analyst. Veteran officiating expert Terry McAulay will provide insights on rules and penalties throughout the contest.

The broadcast team also includes a creator angle from the sidelines. Former NFL player and veteran sideline correspondent Stacey Dales will team up with YouTube personality Deestroying, who will offer his signature energy and insights from his own football journey. For Spanish-speaking audiences, René Giraldo and former NFL kicker Edgar Lopez will provide play-by-play and color commentary.

Fans can catch the excitement well before kickoff. The pregame show will broadcast live from two locations, ensuring a comprehensive viewing experience. On-site in São Paulo, sports media personality Kay Adams will host alongside Heisman Trophy winner and former NFL MVP Cam Newton. Meanwhile, in Los Angeles, NFL legends Derek Carr, Brandon Marshall, and Tyrann Mathieu will join fantasy football analyst Peter Overzet for a dynamic, podcast-style discussion.

Following the game, viewers can tune in for a postgame show featuring analysis from Adams and Newton, interviews from Stacey Dales, and firsthand reactions from Deestroying, providing a mix of expert commentary and creator-driven perspective.

Adding to the spectacle, GRAMMY® Award-winning global superstar KAROL G will perform during halftime, highlighting the cultural crossover of sports, music, and online entertainment. Additional creators and celebrity cameos are expected to be announced in the lead-up to the game.

The game will be available to stream for free on the official NFL YouTube channel worldwide, with a U.S. option to watch through YouTube TV for subscribers. Pregame coverage begins at 7 p.m. ET, with kickoff scheduled for 8 p.m., and postgame analysis immediately following the final whistle.

The National Football League announced that YouTube will exclusively stream the upcoming contest in May.

“We are excited to expand our relationship with YouTube to bring this year’s Brazil game to a worldwide audience,” said Hans Schroeder, NFL executive vice president of media distribution in May. “YouTube and YouTube TV have been incredible partners of the NFL for several years and boast an immense global reach, and we look forward to Week 1 in São Paulo.”

In addition to game streaming, the NFL and YouTube have agreed to a multi-year partnership to produce the annual Super Bowl Flag Football game featuring top content creators and music artists. The collaboration builds on the success of the inaugural Super Bowl LIX Flag Football Game, which garnered over six million live views.

Furthermore, YouTube and YouTube TV have served as the exclusive home of NFL Sunday Ticket since 2023. The package includes all out-of-market Sunday games broadcast on CBS and FOX, giving fans across the United States the chance to follow their favorite teams and players regardless of location.
