Wolken arrives at Yahoo Sports after more than 13 years at USA TODAY. He reported on college sports, the NBA, the Olympics, tennis, and horse racing for the publication. During his tenure, his work earned multiple accolades from the Associated Press Sports Editors, highlighting his reputation for in-depth reporting and insightful analysis.
Wolken is expected to provide commentary and reporting on high-profile issues for Yahoo Sports. Topics that are shaping college athletics, from conference realignment to NIL developments, while also exploring stories across a wide range of sports, including tennis and the Olympics.

He primarily wrote about the Memphis Tigers’ basketball program during its rise to the Final Four under John Calipari.
