Katie Nolan Launches New Program On SiriusXM’s Mad Dog Sports Radio

"Being a sports fan is a complex experience, and I’m dying to talk about it"

SiriusXM is giving one of sports media’s most distinctive voices a daily platform. Katie Nolan will debut her first-ever live show today, bringing her mix of humor, curiosity and fan-first perspective to Mad Dog Sports Radio with the launch of Fan Service with Katie Nolan.

The show will air weekdays from noon to 1 p.m. ET on Mad Dog Sports Radio channel 82, creating an hour-long outlet where fans can call in, celebrate wins, lament losses and share the rollercoaster of sports fandom. Nolan said her goal is to capture the communal energy that makes following sports more than just stats and box scores.

“Sports fandom is inherently about community, and I wanted to create a space where we can foster that,” Nolan said in a statement. “Being a sports fan is a complex experience, and I’m dying to talk about it.”

The addition further strengthens SiriusXM’s Mad Dog Sports Radio lineup. Fan Service follows Adam Schein’s morning block and leads into The Stephen A. Smith Show and Mad Dog Unleashed with Christopher “Mad Dog” Russo. For Nolan, the positioning offers a chance to establish her own lane while complementing the channel’s mix of established personalities.

This move also expands her presence on the platform. Earlier this year, she launched the podcast Casuals, which takes a lighthearted approach to sports and culture rather than focusing solely on X’s and O’s. New episodes of Casuals will continue twice a week, while the daily call-in show offers a new opportunity for real-time interaction with fans.

“Katie is an exceptionally versatile talent and brings a unique voice to the Mad Dog Sports Radio lineup, connecting with those fans who are as interested in what goes on outside the lines as much as what happens on the field,” said Jared Fox, SiriusXM’s senior vice president of sports programming, content marketing and partnerships, and artist relations.

Nolan earned attention as host of Fox Sports 1’s Garbage Time with Katie Nolan, which won a Sports Emmy for Outstanding Social TV Experience, before moving to ESPN where she hosted the late-night series Always Late with Katie Nolan. She later contributed to NBC’s coverage of the 2022 Winter Olympics, appeared on Apple TV+’s Friday Night Baseball broadcasts, and co-hosted the 2023 Women’s World Cup podcast 91st Minute for Just Women’s Sports.

Her personality has also resonated outside of traditional sports programming. Nolan reached the finals of Celebrity Jeopardy! and has built a reputation as a voice who can balance irreverence with insight. That reputation now extends to a live radio audience.
