Vice President JD Vance has announced that he will guest-host The Charlie Kirk Show on Monday afternoon.
The announcement comes after Charlie Kirk was shot and killed while speaking at an event on the campus of Utah Valley University last week. Vance has been vocal in his support for Kirk, and his family, in the aftermath of his slaying.
In a post to social media, Vance shared that he would helm the nationally syndicated radio show on Monday.
“I will have the honor of hosting The Charlie Kirk Show,” Vance wrote. “Please join me as I pay tribute to my friend.”
Salem Radio Network Vice President of News & Talk Programming Tom Tradup pointed out that Vance and Kirk were close friends, and that Vance has been an important shoulder to lean on for the family of Charlie Kirk after his death.
“The Vice President and Second Lady Usha Vance flew to Phoenix to be with the Kirk family immediately following last Wednesday’s assassination, and they also flew Charlie’s coffin home from Utah on Air Force Two,” noted Tradup.
The Charlie Kirk Show airs from Noon to 2 PM ET on the Salem Radio Network.
