In the wake of the death of Charlie Kirk, many have come to support the organization he founded, Turning Point USA. Ben Shapiro and The Daily Wire are also stepping up to give.
During an appearance on The Charlie Kirk Show, Ben Shapiro revealed that The Daily — which he co-founded — is helping Turning Point USA in any way that it can after the assassination of its founder.
“We trust you at TPUSA to do it. I mean, that’s really the answer we’re willing to provide. We are providing any level of material support, any level of support on the program, boots on the ground, helping you to do what Charlie would have wanted to be done here,” said Shapiro. “I think that the reason that everybody trusted Charlie, the reason we’re all morning Charlie, is because nobody did it better.”
Shapiro added that he and his company will do what they can to help accomplish the missions set out by Kirk, like helping followers grow in their faith, as well as “long-term unity” and “big movement change.”
“The long-term vision has to be built around those original biblical conservative values that Charlie stood for, things like the Bible, things like free markets, things like family, all those things are things Charlie stood for,” he continued. “You gotta build a coalition around values, because we can’t build it around the man. But we can build it around the values that he left behind, that he spent his entire life fighting for. We couldn’t be, frankly, more honored to join you guys as much as we can.”
Kirk’s longtime executive producer, Andrew Kolvet, thanked Shapiro and The Daily Wire for their contribution to the organization before revealing that it would donate $1 million to the Kirk-founded group.
“Thank you guys for honoring Charlie so well today,” said Kolvet. “God bless you.”
