More changes are coming to KNX News, as Alex Silverman is adding weekday anchor duties after previously serving in a more limited capacity.
In a post on social media, Silverman shared the details of his new role with the Audacy Los Angeles all-news brand.
“I’ve had the privilege of anchoring middays and afternoons, a couple days per week here at KNX News. And I’m really excited and super grateful that, starting Monday, I’ll be doing it every weekday,” said Silverman.
Silverman will anchor from 11 AM to Noon, 1-2 PM, 3-4 PM, and 5-6 PM.
“If you care about what’s happening in Los Angeles … hope you can join me,” Silverman added. “Because, now more than ever, like I’ve been saying at the end of the show every day, it matters where you get your news.”
In September, Silverman rejoined the station after exiting from his role as Brand Manager in the early portions of 2025. At the time of his departure, he had spent 14 years working in all-news radio for Audacy at brands like 880 WCBS in New York, KYW in Philadelphia, and KNX News.
Silverman’s elevation comes as other changes are taking place at KNX News. Longtime anchor Vicky Moore exited last week, sharing that her final day with the station was on Friday. She had been with the brand for nearly 22 years. Her morning co-anchor, Mike Simpson, will remain in the daypart and will work alongside Margaret Carrero. Carrero anchored the midday and afternoon windows being assumed by Silverman.
