After nearly five years in afternoon drive, Skyler Cooper is taking over mornings on 102.3 KRMG in Tulsa.
In a post on social media, Cooper shared that he’ll begin his stint hosting the daypart on Monday, February 2nd.
“I’m thrilled to announce that starting Monday, I will step into a new role as Host of the KRMG Morning News! I’m also taking on additional responsibilities as Assistant Program Director,” Cooper shared. “Can’t wait to wake up with Tulsa every weekday from 5 am to 9 am! My thanks to everyone here at Zoellner Media Group for this incredible opportunity!”
Cooper originally joined the station in 2012 as a board operator before rising to the role of reporter. In April 2021, he was elevated to anchoring the afternoon news block, which has since expanded to the 4-6 PM timeslot.
He steps into the daypart previously occupied by Dan Potter. Potter departed the station in November 2025 after 17 years helming morning drive at the Tulsa news/talk station.
102.3 KRMG has yet to announce plans on who will replace Skyler Cooper in the 4-6 PM window.
