Furthermore, Lemon has added an additional 140,000 subscribers to his YouTube channel. The channel has just under 1,250,000 subscribers after the recent influx. He has also gained 300,000 followers on Instagram since his arrest.

Don Lemon covered and live-streamed an anti-ICE protest at Cities Church in St. Paul on January 18th. Following the coverage, many argued that Lemon had run afoul of the FACE Act, which prevents such activities.

Lemon has continually argued that he was covering the protest as a journalist, not participating in it. Lawyers for the former CNN anchor have argued that he is protected under the First Amendment. He has pleaded not guilty to the charges and has vowed to challenge them.
