Lisa Dent Sets Return Date to WGN Radio Following Medical Absence

"I can't wait to get back behind the mic and do what I love most."

Date:

Following a leave of absence for a medical issue, WGN Radio afternoon host Lisa Dent has announced plans to return to the station.

Earlier this year, Dent shared that she fell at her home, crashing through a “sea of broken glass” in her bathroom in the process. It was later determined that she would need a total shoulder replacement following the injuries suffered in the fall. Doctors at Northwestern University had told her she had suffered a “devastating injury” in the situation.

Following weeks off, Lisa Dent has shared that she’ll return to afternoon drive on WGN Radio on Monday, March 16th.

In a post on social media, she shared her excitement to get back to work following her injury and rehabilitation.

“I’ve missed the conversations, the laughs, the stories, but most of all, I’ve missed all of you,” said Dent. “Thank you for every message, prayer, positive thought, and bit of encouragement along the way. Your kindness meant everything while I was healing. I can’t wait to get back behind the mic and do what I love most.”

Lisa Dent recently earned 14th place in the Barrett Media Top 20 Major Market News/Talk Radio Afternoon Shows voting.
