PHLY is expanding its original programming lineup with a new daily show designed to spotlight a landmark year for the city. The company announced the launch of Love Philly, a weekday program hosted by longtime local personality Anthony Gargano.
The show debuts Monday, April 13 and will stream from 11 a.m. to noon across PHLY’s digital platforms.
The program will focus on the convergence of major global events scheduled to take place in Philadelphia throughout 2026. That calendar includes the FIFA World Cup, the PGA Championship, and Major League Baseball’s All-Star Game.
The city will also play a central role in the 250th anniversary celebration of the United States.
PHLY executives view the show as a timely addition to their growing content portfolio. They aim to create a daily destination for fans seeking both coverage and context around a historic stretch for the region.
Love Philly will lean heavily into local storytelling. In addition, the show plans to highlight the intersection of sports, culture, and community across the city. Gargano said the program will reflect the energy that defines Philadelphia. He added that the rare alignment of major events provides a unique opportunity to showcase the city on a global stage.
“With the World Cup, All-Star Game, PGA Championship and America’s 250th anniversary converging, Philadelphia is stepping onto the world stage—and reminding everyone who we are,” said Gargano via a statement. “It’s a celebration of the grit, passion, and pride that defines this city and its fans.”
He is expected to lead discussions, conduct interviews, and offer commentary rooted in his long-standing connection to the market. Gargano has built a reputation as one of the city’s most recognizable voices, particularly for his passionate and conversational style.
Meanwhile, PHLY leadership believes his presence will help the show stand out in a crowded digital space.
“2026 is going to be a defining moment for Philadelphia,” said Todd Berman, PHLY general manager. “We want to build something that captures the pride and nonstop energy happening across the city.”
The program will stream live each weekday and remain available on demand. Beyond major events, Love Philly will spotlight neighborhoods, personalities, and stories that shape the city’s identity. Producers plan to balance headline coverage with features that capture the everyday spirit of Philadelphia.
