With the launch of the show, Sterling Every Damn Night has exited 1210 WPHT. That show aired from 10 PM-1 AM ET on the Audacy Philadelphia news/talk station.

Walter Sterling began hosting the show in May 2024. Before hosting the evening show on 1210 WPHT, he hosted Sterling on Sunday with Walter Sterling as a nationally syndicated offering for more than a decade. Previously, he worked at SiriusXM and also served as the Vice President of ABC Radio Networks. He was also the Executive Vice President of NBC-owned FM stations.

He replaced Lionel as the host of The Other Side of Midnight. Lionel had worked on the show since June 2025. After departing the weekday show, Lionel is hosting Another Side of Midnight, the weekend version.

Former WBAP host Casey Bartholomew has been hosting the daypart on 1210 WPTH in a fill-in capacity following Sterling’s exit.

  1. I wouldn’t pay this guy to clean my shoes let alone host on my radio station.

Hope they are getting him at a discount.

    Horrible.

  2. I’m guessing that there were way too many “can’t stand Sterling” posts for Barrett Media to keep the thread going, so they flushed them out! Sterling hates people. He’s mentioned that many times on WPHT. He hates his neighbors, avoids social interaction, and has NO PEOPLE SKILLS whatsoever. I’m not making this up. He’s stated it many times. It confounds me that WABC would chose a host of a show where people skills are so desperately required, and the host has no ability to connect. Walter Sterling is in over his head, and it needs to be rectified asap, if WABC has any integrity. John C., please step in and hire a host that can handle such an important position. I beg you, give us back an overnight show worthy of NYC. and the 38-states your fabulous station covers!
