As the 2026 midterms heat up, Clay Travis has shared that he believes some don’t understand the importance of talk radio and his show.
What We Know: Former reality TV star Spencer Pratt is one of the key players in the race for Mayor of Los Angeles. He, however, has not yet appeared on The Clay Travis & Buck Sexton Show. Travis lamented that fact on the day of the California primary.
What They Said: “There are a lot of people that just don’t realize how big this show is. And I think that’s true for a lot of people that maybe are non-traditional in the political universe. I understand it, because it’s challenging. This show has 600 affiliates. Most of the Republican party side gets it. But I think Spencer Pratt is a political novice. He DM’d me and said he’s gonna come on. We’ve emailed with his team. I think when he becomes a finalist and the campaign continues, I’m confident we’ll get him.”
What Remains Unclear: When or if the Premiere Networks program will be able to secure an interview with Pratt. It is widely expected that he’ll earn one of the spots in the race for the general election after Tuesday’s primary concludes.
What It Means: The Clay Travis & Buck Sexton Show has seen its profile increase since launching nearly five years ago. After losing some of the previous affiliates that took Rush Limbaugh’s program, Travis and Sexton have rebounded nicely. Their show commands an audience of millions daily. It also has hundreds of thousands of followers on social media. He’s correct in saying that it’s an important piece of the media ecosystem.
