What Remains Unclear: The length of the new agreement or its financial terms has not been announced.

What It Means: This shift closes the book on a 13-year run for WZST as the Mountaineers’ broadcast home. For WVRC Media, it’s a major expansion of live sports programming across multiple formats and markets. Additionally, the move signals continued consolidation of collegiate sports rights among regional broadcasters. Learfield is working to maximize reach for WVU’s on-air product heading into the 2026 season.
