Joel Oxley will receive the National Radio Award from the NAB this fall. The WTOP market manager is set to retire next year.

What We Know: Joel Oxley, Senior Vice President and Market Manager of WTOP in Washington, D.C., will receive the National Radio Award at the 2026 NAB Marconi Radio Awards. The ceremony will take place Tuesday, October 20. Oxley originally joined WTOP in 1992 before rising to the market manager role in 2009. Over the course of his career, he has helped guide WTOP into one of the country’s leading news radio operations. The honor coincides with his plans to retire next year.
