San Diego’s Rock 105.3 Retains Longtime Morning Show ‘The Show’ Through 2030

"We are more than thrilled to remain a part of the iHeart team and continue to try and entertain San Diego every morning."

Date:

iHeartMedia is keeping The Show on San Diego’s Rock 105.3 for another four years. The longtime morning program has signed a contract extension that will keep its four hosts together through 2030.

What We Know: RadioInsight first reported that iHeartMedia has reached a four-year agreement with The Show. This keeps San Diego’s Rock 105.3 (KIOZ) morning team together through 2030. Eddie Pappani, Sky Williams, Tylhor “Thor” Dodd and Emily Griffiths will continue hosting weekdays from 6–10 a.m. Pappani and Williams have been part of KIOZ’s morning programming since 2004. Likewise, The Show has occupied the timeslot since 2010.

The new agreement follows a five-year renewal in November 2021 that kept the team under contract through 2026. Known for its mix of comedy, pop culture and listener interaction, the program has also expanded its digital presence through podcasts, including The Show Presents Full Show On Demand and The P1 Podcast, offering listeners additional content beyond its daily broadcast.

What They Said: “We are more than thrilled to remain a part of the iHeart team and continue to try and entertain San Diego every morning. It’s crazy to think about being on this station in this market for as long as we have been. Truly blessed and excited to see what the next four years bring!”-Eddie Pappani

What Remains Unclear: Financial terms of the four-year agreement have not been disclosed. It’s also unclear whether the extension includes any additional responsibilities for the hosts or plans to expand The Show’s digital and podcast offerings. Beyond keeping the current morning team together, iHeartMedia has not outlined any changes to the program.

What It Means: The extension highlights the continued value of established local personalities in an increasingly competitive radio landscape. By committing to The Show, iHeartMedia is prioritizing stability and the audience relationships its hosts have developed over two decades. The agreement also reinforces the importance of personality-driven morning programming. This helps stations differentiate themselves from streaming services and other digital audio platforms. More broadly, the deal shows that established local talent remain valuable assets for stations, even as the industry faces financial pressures and changing listening habits.
