“The censorship thing is a key tenet of any true fascist,” Bongino explained. “Censoring political opponents, that’s what they do. Conservatives are constantly suppressed, shadow banned, and de-platformed for saying things like cloth masks don’t work.”

In January, Bongino’s YouTube account was demonetized after he said that masks were “useless” in stopping the spread of COVID-19.

The platform removed both of his channels and the ability to make future ones. A spokesperson confirmed that trying to create new channels “associated with his name” will also be declined.

“As it turns out, I was right,” he said. “But it was President Trump and his team that were fighting censorship after being kicked off Twitter by launching their own social media site, TRUTH Social.”

He added, “establishing your own social media site doesn’t really sound like step 6 of the 12 steps to fascism program, does it?”
