Townsquare Media Senior Vice President of Sales Bob Freeman has died after a nearly decade-long battle with cancer.
Freeman had been with the radio company since it acquired GapWest Broadcasting in 2010. During his time with the organization, Freeman worked both as a Regional Vice President as well as the Senior Vice President of Sales.
Former colleagues took to social media to remember Freeman.
Townsquare Vice President of Digital Eric Davis shared how Freeman personally helped him acclimate to his new role in the company.
“When I was promoted to VP of digital solutions and training for Townsquare, It was a seriously intimidating bubble in time for me,” Davis wrote. “Bob was there emailing, calling, meeting me for lunch periodically as my mentor offering sage advice.”
Erik Hellum, the Chief Operating Officer of Townsquare Media, added that Freeman was “so much more” than his title of Senior Vice President of Sales.
“For our whole team, whether you needed a great sales idea, a kick in the pants, a shoulder to cry on, or a much-needed chuckle, Bob was always there for you,” he wrote in a social media post.
