WDZD “Fun One Radio“, a community radio station in Monroe, NC, has reason to celebrate. It’s been named “Radio Station of the Year” at the 30th Annual Carolina Beach Music Awards. The ceremony took place at the Alabama Theatre in North Myrtle Beach, SC.
This represents the station’s fourth win in five years, solidifying its status in the Carolina Beach music community.
Fun One Radio broadcasts at 99.1 and 94.3 FM and maintains a strong local presence in Monroe. It also reaches audiences globally through online streaming platforms, including thefunone.org, TuneIn, and The Fun One app.
The station is well-regarded for its dedication to Classic Hits and Carolina Beach Music. This genre embodies the soulful and danceable rhythms associated with Southern coastal culture, including the cherished Carolina shag dance.
