Audacy Names Jenny Nelson as Chief Marketing Officer

Audacy has announced the appointment of Jenny Nelson to serve as the company’s new Chief Marketing Officer.

Nelson is no stranger to the company, having held senior roles with the radio giant since 2008. Previously, she served as the Executive Vice President of Marketing Solutions & Strategy.

In addition to her time at Audacy and then-Entercom, Jenny Nelson also previously worked as an Account Executive at Susquehanna Radio and BBDO for just under a decade.

Jenny Nelson will step into the role previously held by Paul Suchman, who departed last month amid an executive shakeup after the company emerged from its pre-packaged bankruptcy proceedings last year.

The appointment of Nelson as Chief Marketing Officer for Audacy continues an executive shuffle for the company. Earlier this year, CEO David Field announced his departure. He was later replaced by Kelli Turner, who served as CEO in an interim capacity before being officially tabbed to assume the role.

Additionally, Chris Oliverio was elevated to the role of Chief Business Officer for the company after the exit of Chief Operating Officer Susan Larkin, Chief Digital Officer and President of Podcasts and Streaming J.D. Crowley, and general counsel Andrew Sutor. The company’s Executive Vice President of Podcasts — Jena Weiss-Berman — also exited earlier this year, as did Chief Financial Officer Rich Schmaeling.
