FCC Reverses Course And Reinstates Texas Thunder Licenses

Earlier this week, the commission announced that they were pulling the licenses for nonpayment of $14,222.60 over fiscal years 2017 to 2024.

The FCC has reversed course and reinstated the licenses for 94.3 KYKM in Yoakum and 99.9 KTXM in Hallettsville, Texas, collectively known as Texas Thunder Radio.

Earlier this week, the commission announced that they were pulling the licenses for nonpayment of $14,222.60 over fiscal years 2017 to 2024. (BMM 6/2) The commission gave no reason for the reinstatement.

Both the stations’ licenses and renewal status have been returned to pending. The status has been pending since 2021. The FCC alleges that the stations failed to respond to a payment demand issued in February.

Kremling Enterprises owns both stations.
