1040 WHO Program Director Cole Bair has departed the iHeartMedia Des Moines news/talk station.
Bair had only been on the job since joining the station in April. He replaced former Program Director Peter Thiele, who similarly exited after just seven months on the job in July last year.
According to a memo sent to staffers by iHeartMedia Nebraska/Iowa Area Senior Vice President of Programming Erik Johnson, he and 1110 KFAB Program Director Scott Voorhees will handle programming decisions in the interim until a new leader for the legendary brand is found.
“We wish Cole all the best,” Johnson’s memo concluded.
Cole Bair joined 1040 WHO after previously spending six years working at Coloff Media in Cedar Rapids. During his tenure at that company, he served as the Program Director of 1650 The Fan, the company’s sports talk station, where he also worked as the station’s afternoon host.
